How to approve a timesheet? How to edit a timesheet?

In the timesheets module, you are able to view any of your timesheets, as well as the timesheets of all of your subordinates.

Approving Timesheets

To approve a timesheet, click on the pending sheet.

Click on either the 'approve' or 'deny' button and from there that sheet will be approved or denied.

Editing Timesheets

To edit a timesheet, click on that sheet.

From there you can edit several fields. These fields by default are set to their profile settings.

Fields:

  • Division: Which division did they work in?
  • Department: Which department did they work in?
  • Pay Code: What pay code is this associated with? (This determines the rate of pay for the employee, e.g. overtime: 1.5x pay, holiday: 2x pay)
  • Job Code: What job did they work?
  • Notes: Additional comments about each entry.
  • Hours: How many hours did they work?

You can add entries to each day by clicking the green 'add entry' button underneath each day.

From there you can fill in the appropriate fields. An example of this being used is if you wanted to manually put in the overtime hours, you would be able to select the overtime pay code and the hours for that day.

After everything looks good, click the 'update timesheet' button and all changes will be saved for that employee.

Creating Timesheets

You can also create timesheets for your subordinates. Navigate to the People's tab where you can see a list of the people that you manage

Click on their name. It will redirect you to their profile. From their profile click on the button in the navigation bar that says 'Timesheets'

From this page you will be able to create new timesheets for that employee. Click the 'Create Timesheet' button.

Similar to above in the edit timesheet section you can fill in the necessary entries day by day and once you're done you can click the 'Create Timesheet' button at the bottom of the screen.
