How to terminate a user?

Prerequisites:

  1. Ensure there is the correct termination reason available. Find out how to create additional termination reasons here

First, navigate to the profile of the employee being terminated. This can be accessed by:

  1. Navigating to the people's module, then clicking on the employee profile.
  2. Searching the employee's name in the search bar and clicking on it.

Once at the profile, click on the drop down menu next to the update employment button and click terminate user.

Next, select the termination date. This date can be a past, present or future date. To move on, click next.

This brings you to the termination form fields.

Fields:

  • Reason for change: Description of reason behind employment update.
  • Notify other users: Notify the users that are selected in the 'notify users for terminations' settings
  • Termination reason code (required): Document the reason the employee is being terminated.
  • To-do list template: The template used as the off-boarding to-do list.
  • Survey template: The template used as the off-boarding survey.

Once the necessary information is filled, you can click the save button. Once the save button is pressed and the user will be terminated. This log can be viewed in the employment history of the user.
