A company document is a file viewable to all employees in the organization. Typically documents will be organized with folders to be more accessible. You can view company documents in the documents module found in the navigation bar on the left hand side.
You can create a company document by clicking the 'create document' button on the right hand side where it will prompt you to fill in name, description, folder, department, visibility, expiry date, document type, while also being able to add additional users who have access to the file and being able to upload the file from your local device.
Fields:
- Name: The name field will be the name of your document. (Required)*
- Description: The description field will be the description of your document. (Required)*
- Folder: Documents can be placed inside a company folder.
- Department: Documents have the option to be a part of a department.
- Visibility: Documents can be public (accessible to everyone in the organization) and private (accessible to administrators, department members, and select users). (Required)*
- Select other users that will have access to this file: Limit accessibility to select users.
- File: Upload a file. (Required)*
- File Type: Select a file type. (Required)*
After filling out all of the required fields, by clicking the 'create document' button you can now view your file in its respective folder.
